LEARN HOW OTIS NIXON IS MASTERING THE GAME OF LIFE... Otis Nixon experienced a successful career of playing Major League Baseball™ for 25 years, but after 10 years removed he went through a dark period in his life and fell into depression and drug addiction. After feeling totally alone and desperate he was restored through his relationship with Jesus Christ and he now uses his platform to give back to others.
The Otis Nixon Foundation is a broad-based, collaborative initiative to assist underprivileged men, women and children. His goal is to help break the cycle of poverty, drug addiction and lack of education to build a new life and be a preventive tool — to be a hand up, not a hand out, in the lives of men, women and children in need. Through intensive means, his goal is to restore lives, one man, one woman, and one child at a time.
Otis enjoyed a successful career playing Major League Baseball for 17 years. He stole more bases than any other player that has never appeared in a MLB All-Star game. He shares the MLB single game record of 6 stolen bases and holds the Atlanta Braves record with 72 stolen bases in a single season.
